THE FACTS

Greg revealed some shocking details about the false reality of autonomy, dues and contract negotiation. Here is some of the supporting documentation.

DUES RISE WITHOUT MEMBERSHIP INPUT

The Southwest Airlines Local 556 Dues have increased with changes in their pay scale based on the calculation of the weighted average of their hourly workgroup pay rates. These changes are never brought before the membership prior to being changed.

This shows that dues can not be accurately quoted for the future based on the fact that our pay scale changes both with our seniority as well as pay scale increases overall.

CONTRACT FAILURE

TWU's proposed Contract in 2015 was voted down by 87% (with 89% of the membership voting), extending the negotiation period further as it became amendable in 2013.

The union said proposed work rule changes in the contract “were considered by many voters to be overreaching and burdensome on flight attendants and their quality of work and family life.”
